Asha A Journey to Healing

Empowering Women to Overcome Trauma and Embrace Wholeness Through Christ

Address the Silent Crisis in Your Community

Globally, 6 out of 10 women have faced trauma—leaving lasting marks on their hearts, minds, and bodies. Originally designed for complex trauma contexts in Asia and now adapted for global use, Asha gives you everything needed to support women who have experienced gender-based abuse and violence.  With Asha, your ministry can provide what these women need: a safe, supportive environment where women aged 15+ can heal through Christ-centered community and biblical truth.

Empowering Women to Reclaim Life through Asha

Trauma affects women profoundly, manifesting physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Many survivors experience ongoing distress long after the initial trauma has ended, feeling abandoned or forgotten. With this program, your organization can address these wounds with the sensitivity, dignity, and spiritual depth these women deserve.

How

Asha Works

For each week, Asha provides a focused trauma theme that enables the participants to untangle many of their trauma complexities. Each topic is explored through a story, reflection time, Scripture engagement, and skills components, all related to that specific topic.
A Story

These fictitious stories reflect the real experiences of pain and suffering of women from all over the world. They tell of the many ways in which women can experience abuse and how their bodies and minds may react.

Let's Talk About It

Survivors begin to face what happened to them and how this changed them. It is an opportunity to learn why they respond in certain ways and what they can do to begin to move forward.

Read a Portion of John's Gospel

This gives the broader context of Jesus’ ministry and how He came to save and heal us all.

Let's Think About It

This is a time to explore the “I AM” sayings of Jesus and how they relate to survivors of abuse.

Let's Practice It

Trauma lives on in our bodies. It is important for survivors to learn skills to calm themselves and change how their bodies react.

Homework

Reflection questions throughout the week help survivors think more about the heart of God for his wounded daughters. The skills homework helps them to grow stronger and more confident.
